A little bit about me…

Before becoming a counselor, I spent eight years coaching children and teens ages 18 months to 18 years old. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how pressure, confidence, emotions, self-esteem, and mental barriers impact kids both on and off the field. I also have extensive training working with adolescents facing incarceration, difficult family dynamics, unresolved trauma, unhealthy peer relationships, and emotional or behavioral struggles.

I want the kids and teens I work with to feel comfortable being themselves when they walk into counseling. Whether they are angry, shut down, anxious, overwhelmed, emotional, or unsure how to talk about what they are feeling, I meet them where they are. I often use creative activities, honest conversations, practical coping tools, and age-appropriate ways to help them open up, process emotions, communicate more effectively, and feel more confident in who they are.

I feel honored to work alongside children, teens, and families throughout Canton, Texas and the East Texas area during some of the most difficult and important seasons of life.

It’s nice to meet you, I’m Jordan.

Counseling for Children, Kids, Teens and Families in Canton, Texas

Hey mom, I see you. I see the concern in your eyes and hear the worry in your voice when you talk about your child. You may feel like something has shifted and you cannot quite figure out how to fix it. Maybe your child has become more emotional, withdrawn, angry, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Maybe every conversation turns into conflict, school stress is building, friendships are becoming concerning, or your child seems stuck between wanting independence while still deeply needing support. A lot of parents feel exhausted trying to hold everything together while wondering if they are losing connection with their child somewhere along the way.

I became a counselor because I wanted children, teens, and families to feel understood instead of judged. A lot of kids are carrying emotions they do not know how to explain, and sometimes those emotions come out as anger, shutting down, irritability, defiance, or unhealthy choices. I want the kids and teens I work with to feel like they can fully be themselves in counseling without fear of criticism or shame. My goal is to help them open up honestly about what is going on beneath the surface while also helping parents better understand what their child may be experiencing emotionally.
